Monosilane, also known as tetrahydrosilane, has a chemical formula of SiH4 and is a type of silane. The structure of monosilane is similar to that of methane, and is a regular tetrahedron. It is a colorless, flammable, toxic gas with a strong odor. It is easily ignited in the air, reacts with oxidants, is highly toxic after inhalation, and is highly irritating to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.<\/p>\n
