Description:
Argon is a colorless, odorless inert gas composed of argon atoms. It does not react chemically with other substances at room temperature and is insoluble in liquid metal at high temperatures. It is more advantageous when welding non-ferrous metals. It can be used to inflate light bulbs and arc weld stainless steel, magnesium, aluminum, etc., also known as “argon arc welding.”

Welding And Metal Processing
Argon is used as a shielding gas during welding to prevent oxygen and other impurities from entering the welding area, thereby ensuring the quality of the weld. In metal processing, argon is also used to make special alloys and to make titanium, protecting the metal being welded from the harmful effects of oxygen.
Semiconductor Manufacturing
In the semiconductor manufacturing process, argon is used as an inert gas to prevent semiconductor materials from being contaminated by air, and as a coolant and gas quencher to control the temperature and hardness of semiconductor materials.
Lighting And Gas Discharge
Argon is used as a filling gas in gas discharge tubes in lighting to produce red or blue light. In gas discharge, argon prevents the discharge area from being contaminated by air.
Carrier Gas
It can be used as an inert carrier gas in laboratories or industrial gas lines for chromatographic column chromatography and industrial production processes.
